Because Roost Mortgages is a trading name of Ian Stuart Mortgages Ltd, which in turn is an appointed representative of The Openwork Partnership, Jo’s website is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority guidelines for financial promotions.
Jo was having difficulty in getting this content submitted and modified to gain compliance. We engaged with Jo to understand this processand become familiar with the compliance guidelines.
Our Solution
To gain compliance for her website required submitting the individual web pages, testimonials and any social media links to Openwork for approval.
Following initial discussions with Jo, she was happy for us to manage and lead on the activity to move the site towards FCA financial promotions’ approval. This required reviewing previous rejection comments, understanding the website navigation, and collating a list of changes for the website designer to apply.
This ensured that Jo could publish her website, with the outcome that Roost Mortgages can advertise and promote itself within the FCA guidance for marketing and promotions. We also pro-actively diarised when Jo’s social media and the website needs re-approving.
